About PlayMakers
Our story
Playmakers is a creative space where children and their families experiment, explore and play through art.
PlayMakers is led by Sharon Speckman. Born in Mexico City, she studied communications and holds an MFA in theatre direction. Over more than 23 years she has led youth organisations and worked in non-formal education, theatre, and teaching arts and crafts across Mexico, Israel and Barcelona. A mother of two, Sharon built PlayMakers as a warm, child-directed studio where every idea gets made — because we don't direct children, we accompany them.
