After-School Art Classes
Weekly, process-led art classes for kids in small groups — real materials, real mess, and the freedom to create their own way. Inspired by artists, books and the seasons, every session helps children find their own voice.

PlayMakers Creative Space runs weekly, process-led after-school art classes for children aged 3–11 in Sant Gervasi-Galvany, beside Turó Park in Barcelona's Zona Alta (Marià Cubí 174). Small groups meet Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu 17:30–18:30, plus Wed 16:00–17:00, all taught in both English and Spanish so international, expat and local children feel equally at home. It's €75 a month, every material included, no registration fee. Every few weeks the class takes a new artist — Kusama, Picasso, Frida Kahlo among others — and children make their own work in response, alongside self-portraits, painting, drawing and mixed media, always caring more about the creative process than a perfect result. What we make
- A new artist every few weeks — children look closely at one artist's work — Kusama, Picasso, Frida Kahlo among others — then make their own in response.
- Self-portraits and personal projects — work that starts from the child rather than from a template.
- Painting, drawing and colour — mixing colour and finding a mark of their own; the bulk of most sessions.
- Mixed media and collage — building texture from different materials, with some clay and 3D work along the way.
- Weekly 60-minute classes for ages 3–11, all through the school year. Slightly older or younger and keen to join? Just ask.
- €75 per month — all materials included, and no registration fee.
- Nut-free studio — bring a nut-free snack and water.
- Aprons provided; dress for mess.
Pay monthly (€75) by card, cash or bank transfer — no registration fee, all materials included. After-school families get priority for our holiday camps. Miss a class? In an emergency we'll do our best to arrange a make-up.

After-school FAQ
How much do classes cost?
€75 per month, all materials included, with no registration fee. Pay the whole semester up front (€355) and save €20.
When are the classes?
Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu 17:30–18:30, plus Wed 16:00–17:00. Classes are 60 minutes, for ages 3–11.
What should my child bring?
Just clothes that can get painty — we provide aprons and all materials. We're a nut-free studio, so pack a nut-free snack and water.
Are classes in English or Spanish?
Both — classes run bilingually in English and Spanish, so international and local kids are equally comfortable.
